BENNY  H.V.  ANDERSSON

  • 1953 – Born in Sweden
  • 1974-77 – Studied art in Stockholm at Medborgarskolans Konstskola, Grundskolan för Konstnärlig utbildning, Grafiska Institutet
  • 1976 – Received scholarship of fine art in painting, Kulturstipendie, from Valdemarsvik
  • 1978 – Received scholarship of fine art from Liljesonska Stiftelsens Kulturstipendium
  • 1979 – Commissioned to paint 4 large murals in Folket Hus Theater, Valdemarsvik
  • 1980 – Moved to USA
  • 1991 – Illustrated children’s book, The Soft Secret Word
  • 1993 – Selected as “Artist of the 90’s” and cover for Manhattan Arts International magazine cover competition
  • 1993-94 – Award of Excellence by Manhattan Arts International cover competition
  • 1994 – Included in Who is Who in International Art
  • 1995 – Critics Pick Award by Manhattan Arts International
  • 1997 – Included in the art book, One Source – Sacred Journey   
  • 2005 – Received commission for 2 large paintings featured in Cheon Jeong Goong Museum, Korea
  • 2013 – Included in Lexikon der phantastichen Kunstler by Gerhard Harbarta, Austria
